Comcast Cabled Almost $2.7M into First Quarter Lobbying

Comcast Corp., the nation's largest cable operator and second largest Internet provider, spent $2.7 million in the first quarter to lobby on Internet regulations and other issues, according to a disclosure report.

The Philadelphia-based company also lobbied Congress on legislation involving digital television regulations and programming issues, patent reform, cable ownership limits and miscellaneous tax issues, according to the April 21 filing with the House clerk's office.
