FCC Chairman Calls Comcast Liar, Critics Pile On

Comcast uses shady tactics to interfere with Internet traffic and hasn't been honest about it, the chairman of the FCC told a Senate committee. Furthermore, the FCC has enforcement power over its own policies and doesn't need new laws to crack down on Internet traffic throttling, FCC Chairman Kevin Martin said.

Comcast has lied about how and why it blocks peer-to-peer (P2P) Internet  traffic, and may be lying in its promise to stop some of its practices by year end, Federal Communications Commission  Chairman Kevin Martin said during a hearing held by a Senate committee on the future of the Internet.
