CWA Opposes Comcast's Network Management Practices

In a letter to the FCC May 13, 2008, the Communications Workers of America supported a complaint that Comcast violated consumer rights when it blocked usage by certain consumers. The original complaint filed by Free Press and Public Knowledge argued that: "Comcast secretly and deliberately blocks transmission of legal peer-to-peer traffic without letting its customers know what it was doing." CWA asked the FCC to enjoin Comcast from further violations
